Modern Censorship is Running Amok

I understand the idea about pulling down statues, burning books, and trying to change how history is viewed, but I am concerned about censorship.

Changing a point of view can be done without destruction, like burning books, toppling statues, defacing graves, and so on. People don’t need to destroy things in order to change perspective.

The people in history had a different perspective, a different lifestyle.… Read the rest

Do You Have Marketing Overload in Your Dreams?

To say we are bombarded by information is just scratching the surface. We are endlessly flogged with marketing, and information. Most of what we see and hear is marketing based, or focused on selling. Does it even turn off in our sleep any more? Do you have dreams with product placement?

It’s hard to relax when information follows you wherever you go.

The Fear of Human Contamination

People are beginning to prefer no human contact, it seems to me. Not just the mobile phone thing, but the germophobe stuff and choosing to send a text rather than risk catching someone actually live on their mobile phone.

I tried finding a TV in the smaller size, the size that would fit the space I have on my shelf.… Read the rest

Will You Be Allowed to Vote?

Tomorrow is the Canadian federal election. I already voted, early. Tonight I’m wondering, in this new democracy where people are allowed to make one choice only, call it coerced, whatever word you like. Will this be our last election?

First, I thought about future elections requiring a vaccine passport. Only those who have been vaccinated several times (with “the vaccine” not all those other vaccines, they just don’t count now) will be allowed to vote.… Read the rest
