One year I had a Christmas card with a snowy lighthouse and all the usual trimmings. I think I kept one after I mailed them out.

I ordered this poinsettia brooch. I often find things I’d like to order but settle for an image saved to my blog. But, I love a poinsettia or Christmas tree brooch to wear each year around the holidays. So I bought it. There are rhinestones in the middle and the shade of red looks really good, at least online.

Why isn’t this a horse rather than a dog? Is this really about animals or something for self-indulgent pet owners? I’m sure there were far more horses used in wars than dogs.
If it is for the pets… why are they always dogs?
I hope everyone wearing a purple poppy is also wearing at least one red poppy, for the humans lost to the wars.

I went looking for a haunted house I could wear. This one is from a shop called Creep Heart (Ella Mobbs based in Australia). She also has a witch flying by the moon. I especially like both of these brooches. Also, a skeleton with a top hat and a scarecrow too. But, these two (the house and the witch) I like best.
