This is a history of the building from The Abandoned LEC:
I am dedicating this blog to The Abandoned, a huge complex of buildings which once housed a mega church in rural Wilsonville, Oregon.
The Callahan Center was originally built by the State of Oregon as a rehabilitation center for people recovering from injuries on the job.
The building was eventually bought by a church called the Living Enrichment Center. When the church folded amidst financial scandal, it was abandoned.
It has stood empty for many years. Over that span it has been vandalized and looted.
Yet the beauty of its rare architecture still shines through the shambles of abuse and disrepair.

This is a nice write-up, however I do not have a blog called Random Trash–that blog is run by Clytie. Her blog the LEC now and Then is no longer available to the public, thanks to vandals who used the information to find this place and destroy its beauty.
The new owners have surveillance cameras in place, there is a full-time caretaker and police regularly patrol the complex. If anyone reading this intends to visit, you need permission, or you risk arrest for trespassing.
Thanks for letting me know, Beth. I’m cautious about giving locations away to places I have photographed. I’d hate for someone to visit them with the intention of wrecking or stealing from them.
I know what you mean. I love this place so much–my blog was started because no one seemed to care about this wonderful place. Now they do–I’m so happy about that. Thank you for your gracious response.
