The Madness of Doing

“We must stand firm between two kinds of madness: the belief that we can do anything; and the belief that we can do nothing.” – Alain,  translated by Robert D. and Jane T. Cottrell.

Where do you fit in on believing you can do anything or feeling you can’t? I know people who feel they can do anything, if they want to do it or try to do it. It must be nice to have that kind of faith in yourself. I wonder, though, is this buff, or do they really, really believe in themselves as much as they claim to. Either way, it’s all madness of some extent.

I take each day, each moment and try to keep myself on track or at least not fall too far off track.

Although, some of the most interesting days in my life have been days when I was lost.
