Science Deniers in the Modern Medieval Age

sciencedenierWhat is a science denier?

These days it is anyone who does not agree with the general media about the covid vaxxination. However you want to debate all of that… the label of science denier is pure propaganda.

Science should be questioned, it is meant to be questioned. Science is full of theories and hypotheses and questions.… Read the rest

Unending Cliffhangers in Canadian Science Fiction Television

Most of the Canadian science fiction television show I have ever watched end in cliffhangers which are never resolved because the show gets cancelled. You can find and watch them over and over again here and there but there will never be a real ending. Unending, never ending cliffhangers.

Its not that I need a happy ending every time.… Read the rest

Will You Be Allowed to Vote?

Tomorrow is the Canadian federal election. I already voted, early. Tonight I’m wondering, in this new democracy where people are allowed to make one choice only, call it coerced, whatever word you like. Will this be our last election?

First, I thought about future elections requiring a vaccine passport. Only those who have been vaccinated several times (with “the vaccine” not all those other vaccines, they just don’t count now) will be allowed to vote.… Read the rest

Making Much of a Dent

I don’t think anyone volunteers to be forgettable, or forgotten. Maybe in some fictional story, but fiction doesn’t count.

But, just like we can’t know everything or meet and know every person (even just those alive while we are) we are going to be forgotten. It’s not something to make anyone feel particularly happy but, the good thing is, you won’t be here to know about it.… Read the rest

So Far I am Not Dying of Covid

People who test positive for Covid are sent home. No one calls an ambulance to take them to the emergency department or the isolation room in the hospital. Her due date was actually 3 weeks away still. So, how is this baby a breech birth three weeks before its even expected to be born?

What is Gaslamp Fantasy Fiction?

Though it’s been around for a while, I’ve just recently come across the actual name of what is now my favorite genre to read, Gaslamp Fantasy Fiction.

I came across it quite by accident while scrolling on Twitter and decided to do a little research on the topic by way of searching the internet.Inspired by the classic work of nineteenth-century authors such as Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and the Brontes, Gaslamp is virtually an alternate take on Victorian times with a fascinating twist.Although

Where Would you Teleport to First?

Thanks to the wonders of science we now have teleportation, much like the old Star Trek series. A beam of light moves people nearly instantly from one place to another. Halfway around the world and back again in less than a minute – if you want to accept the risk of scrambling your brains. There are warnings posted about over use and the effects on the human mind.… Read the rest
