Thirteen Things about Laura
- I like cute socks.
- Most of my computer games are city building types. But, I am addicted to Carmageddon.
- I have never broken a bone in my body.
- Right now I'm sitting here in a nightie, a green one. Nothing else but cute pink socks.
- Tomorrow I am planning to hit the thrift stores: GoodWill and Value Village.
- I am thinking to start a blogroll for sites with UE (urban and rural exploration) photos.
- I am also planning a blogroll to go along with the WordGrrl blog.
- I watch Canadian Idol. I think the early shows are better than the big phone in, final ten type shows.
- I have a pirate fetish. I had it long before Johnny Depp and crew made it fashionable.
- When I was 16 I saved money. I don't know what happened to me since then.
- I really do have too many books. I am obsessed with them.
- I have to really conclude that Windows Vista sucks in a bad way.
- I don't mind to tell people just about anything about myself. But, I get really angry about anyone snooping into my things or myself. I am both really open and really private at the same time. I guess.

Thirteen Things about Laura
- My own hair makes me itch.
- Rainy days make me want to get outside.
- When I get wet, I don't melt. This proves I am not wicked.
- I like being on the bus when you forget everyone else and just let your mind drift over the road as you speed along. You can't do that when you're driving.
- I really am not all that fond of cold coffee though I drink a lot of it.
- Moving really does suck, packing is about the same on the scale of suckage.
- If I like to write why don't I do more of that?
- Procrastinating is an art. I call myself an artist.
- I'm so tired today I am making really lame spelling and typing mistakes.
- It's getting really windy as well as rainy outside. I used to like that when I had longer hair. Short hair blows in your eyes a lot more than long hair does.
- I don't like music or TV and such on loud. It bugs me.
- I am really hungry but don't feel like rushing to nuke another can of soup.
- I don't believe 13 is an unlucky number.

I’m late again this year. This was going to be the year I started NaNoWriMo on time and actually finished my 50,000 words by the end of November. Instead I’m still in the final stages of moving jetlag. Not that I had a jet, that would have been nice, a whole moving crew too.
Here I am nearly a week after the start of November and I have not even begun. So much for my great plan to be part of it all this year. I don’t really like to put it off till next year, again. I did that last year after a slow, late start. Is anyone else joined up and trying?
We tend to think of things we want right now, or in the near future. Yesterday I was watering the garden (watering in the compost really) and I began thinking about what I want 10,000 years from now.
Besides the fact that I would like to be immortal and actually see the world in 10,000 years, I would like to see seeds from the plants I'm tending now. Imagine seeing the new seedlings growing from their great-great-great-grandparents, which you watered 10,000 years ago. I like to think that I made a difference, however slight. Maybe I will never have fame and fortune, but there will be trees here which I helped grow.
At least, there should be. If not for that band of rogue aliens which come to Earth in 8462 and torch the whole place, for no reason. Just some freak road rage incident.
100 Words
Write 100 words (exactly) every day for a month. No missed days, no writing ahead or catch ups. Can you do it?
I like it but I can see it will be harder than it appears. Anyone who has taken it upon themselves to create a blog or journal entry every day will know it is hard to write something every single blasted day. :) Plus the hardship of being on a budget of 100 words, no more or less.
Try it unofficially for a week and see if you still want to take on this project, with the site.
