The long awaited robot pets have finally arrived. Not like the virtual pets and chia pets and pet rocks and mechanical pets which have come before - these new robot pets look, act and feel exactly like the real animal they were designed as. But, they don't need any maintenance unless you (the owner) chooses to do so. Dogs can be set to need a daily walk, or not. Cats can be set to hunt small animals, or not. None of the robotic animals needs to be picked up after, no more litter boxes or poop and scoop. Perfect for people in apartment buildings and such where pets are not allowed. These pets can be soundless, odorless and they don't shed hair. No one gets allergies from a robotic pet.
Would you choose a robotic pet or stick with the real animal? It's an easier choice if allergies, not having a permanent home of your own and living space don't figure into the decision. Would you still pick a real pet if you didn't have the space for them?
There are too many warnings about what not to do to avoid getting cancer. I stopped reading all those warnings and I stopped worrying about the latest non-cancer fad food. If you want to live the paranoid life read How Not to Get Cancer and wall yourself off from life in case that gives you cancer. Good luck with that.
Here is my comment on the site:
I got really fed up with cancer warnings a long time ago. You’d have to stop breathing and actually be dead to avoid all the things that can give you cancer. My Grandfather and Grandmother are both dead from cancer but I’m still living and I’m going to keep living and breathing and using non-stick pans and not eating oatmeal every day or whatever the latest cancer fad is. In the long run you have to just live before you die.
Keep in mind this is also a blog created to test how well Entrecard is working as a blog promotion tool. As sincere as the topic and focus are, it is also about traffic and becoming famous. Does knowing that make you feel different about the blog and the information in it?
You're designing your own charm bracelet, something kind of old fashioned but you might give it a modern style or stick to the traditional.
The bracelet is in front of you so is the charm catalogue with thousands of little charms to choose from. Think of your life, things you have experienced, things that you wish for, things that describe and interest you. Some things you are looking forward to ahead in your life as well.
You can pick 7 charms to fill the bracelet or 16 to fill it and look somewhat cluttered, heavy and clunky. The clutteredness doesn't matter as much as getting it right and making it fit you personally. After all, you can always create charm bracelet earrings, long and dangly, with those extra charms.
What charms do you pick to have added to the bracelet (or earrings) to make your own charm bracelet?

Why are we sentimental about old electronics? I've seen them at the Goodwill, those thick monitors side by side, the old towers with their dirty keyboards leaning against them and the mouse dangling like a spider. I've seen photos taken by others who have found old computers, video game consoles and assorted technological anatomy discarded on sidewalks, rummage sales, tossed out of windows. It's funny that they bring more feeling than the other debris, the general run of the mill stuff like cracked dishes, beat up furniture and half-dead clothing.
It's funny that we do care. I get a funny feeling seeing those discarded dinosaurs, unwanted and hopeless. Of course, they have no thoughts about the whole thing. Whatever emotions or passion they ever had were from the people using them. Maybe it's because they became something more than a hunk of plastic, a tool. They became familiar, like a family pet you give attention to every day, worry about when it's sick and feel happy spending quality time together.
Still, they are totally useless now. Unless you can make some kind of modern art with them, deconstruct them and build a new system using some of the old parts. Those old clunky monitors are too far gone though. But, they could make a very unique fish bowl for your goldfish. So there is always hope, if you really want to save your old PC.
