Your Lottery Ticket and You
You win the lottery, $27 million. There's just one tiny, little itsy bitsy string attached...
What is it? What string would get in the way between you and $27 million? Everyone has a deal breaker.

Setting up Mom's computer to be on the wireless home network. Have to find a way to make the hardware/ software compatible with Windows Vista. The guy at Future Shop said it would be fine. But, seems I returned this same hardware to WalMart cause it didn't work. Yet it cost double the price at Future Shop. So, even if it does work I may return it and go back to save $50 by shopping WalMart. Kind of sick that they would have such a huge price mark up at Future Shop. But, will make sure it actually does work first. Haven't even told my Mom about that side of things yet.
Also, woke up this morning still thinking about a guy at the grocery store last night. Funny thing is that I never even looked at him. Just noticed his hand reaching down to put the divider thing on the conveyor belt. Said thanks. Then noticed him turning my cereal box so he could read it (I assume). After he was gone my Mom (we had a shopping day together yesterday) said he was really good looking. I hadn't even looked. But, I've been thinking about that little bit of time over and over. It will make a good story, when I get writing it.
It also made me think about writing something about romance. My sister has been on my mind too. Not the one with kids but the whiskey drinking, soccer playing, single redhead. She doesn't seem to notice guys that like her. Seems to think it is just a co-incidence that a friend calls her on Valentines Day. Duh! Some people seem to be Romantically Challenged. I thought that would be a good name for the column/ blog/ whatever. But, it couldn't be a daily. I don't have that many romantic thoughts rattling around in my brain. Weekly could be do-able. I took over a romantic topic for a very short time on Suite101.com once. Before things went kind of silly there and I gave up on the network.
Off to find software updates...
I don't think it's terrible or very adult to be interested in being the woman in charge of the man when it comes to the fun side of a relationship. To say it politely versus talking about more shocking things like BDSM and Dommes and men who want to be submissive.
It's not all about sex. There are things and situations assumed as soon as someone talks about BDSM and Dominance and submission. But, for me it's about being in charge and doing things my own way. If you don't want him drooling over you then you get to make the change. Instead he can wash the dishes and then kneel at your feet until just having him kneeling there starts to be more interesting than annoying.
I don't see everything connected to the D/s fetish being adult and taboo. It's fun. Aren't there things you'd like to do which 'nice girls' just don't do? Wouldn't you like to have a man be the one who feels helpless and unsatisfied for a change. You don't need leather clothes, extraordinary high heels or whips and chains. You can skip the accessories completely and just work with your voice telling him what to do. Force isn't necessary. Both of you want to do this, to have this experience and that is part of the charge and thrill of it.
Keep it all in the bedroom, private and just between the two of you. Take it out a bit, for a little more fun. Torment him just a little more. But, keep it fun for both of you. He needs to know you are in charge and that means you say when you've had enough, just are plain not interested or want him in another room- preferably making himself useful doing some of the household everyday work.
So are you shocked? My little secret is out. I like being the woman in charge of the man, at least in the bedroom.
Thirteen things I can do now that I'm unemployed (fired yesterday).
Set the alarm clock and ignore it. Just let it go on beep-beep-beeping, getting all upset and flustered. You know how those little yappy alarm clocks sound.
Miss the bus. At the time I would have left for work today I stood at the window and watched the bus leave, without me on it!
Catch up on important things like the book I've been reading, my web domain that has been sadly neglected for ages (thatgrrl.ca), fix up the new domain for this blog and figure out why it doesn't always load up the first time.
Get out for more abandoned farm house photos. Find the locations I have saved in notes, on Flickr and in my email from others.
Check into the idea of making Word Grrls a blog with ads, a money making blog. I know it's not what I had planned or thought I would do. But, maybe I can run a bit of this and that and not have it feel like a spam pit or ad farm.
Call some other poor fool working as tech support for a company and just shoot the breeze awhile. Funny how often people did that. I don't think they knew we were rated on how quickly we handled calls. My rating was pretty good, not the best but it wasn't something they complained about.
Colour my hair again. It's about time for it to get done. I can see the difference in colour in the new hair. Also need to do laundry, including the bedsheets. All those things I've usually left for the weekends when I had more time.
Start that Best of the Web work or get going with it at least. They say it pays after the first thousand sites. I'm not near to that but could be, now that I'm not getting sucked dry at work and coming home with massive headaches.
More drawing and doodling and cartooning. Doodle Week Summer is coming up for July.
Have lunch and dinner during rather than skipping them and coming home after 10:00 to eat dinner late. I can even do some cooking. I miss making lasagna and such things. Not as much fun to just crack open a can of soup.
Eventually I will look for some other work. Not yet. I'm giving myself this weekend off. Seems my sister is even going to be dropping by on Saturday. If I were still working I would have missed seeing her at all.
Watching the soaps, catching up on them. Have them on today and don't know what they are talking about. Seems someone died but so far I haven't noticed anyone missing.
Writing. Really, actually getting something finished. I made plans to write a guest post this month but have not even started anything. I have an article as a draft about rural exploration but it's in need of work. Lots of other writing which is half done to not started beyond the idea stage.
Blog Talkers: My imaginary life.
I have several imaginary lives. I daydream about them often when I have time to just think about nothing much. Most often I'm attending some glamourous function with Keanu Reeves or some other tall, dark and interesting creature. I design my own gown for these events. That's even more fun than thinking about Keanu.
If I have time still after the gown is designed I make a whole scenario. Sometimes there are children and sometimes there are babysitters or no children at all. I'm not a crazy stalker but I have read and heard a few things about Keanu. Having it all based on some reality is more interesting than just a talking to myself kind of daydream, imaginary life.
Keanu is sweet, romantic, a great kisser (not one of those loose lipped slobbery types). He enjoys conversation as well as holding hands, stroking my back and brushing my hair. He also likes going places: the bookstore, the local festival/ event, spontaneous road trips, flea markets, the bedroom. Sometimes we travel on his motorbike. Sometimes we just walk around.
In all of these adventures I am slim and my hair is not at all frizzy. It's so nice to have imaginary great hair along with the imaginary great size 10 or whatever it is.
Not that Keanu is essential in all of my imaginary lives. He just seems to suit me, the version of him I have created: the romantic musician and hockey playing biker dude. A nice guy but not stupidly nice, a little bad boy makes it all more interesting. Just as I only seem nice, inside I am deviously taking over the world, all polite and unsuspected.
